چکیده
Equilibrium constants for the mercuric acetate-catalyzed been determined in the liquid and vapor phase over the temperature range 30 ° 175 °C by gas chromatography analysis. A novel synthesis of the cisand trans-isomers of l,2-dimethoxyethylene is discussed. From a screening of 29 catalysts, mercuric acetate, mercuric benzoate, and mercuric salicylate were found to be favorable isomerization catalysts. For the liquid phase reaction, Similarly, for the vapor phase reaction, A linear regression analysis, employing a least-squares curve fit and an analysis of variance, was performed on the data. An independent experimental error analysis (for uncertainties in measurement, reproducibility, etc.) was performed using partial differentials and was consistent with the above findings. cis-1,2-Dimethoxyethylene was more stable relative to its trans-isomer in both the liquid and vapor phase. The greater amount of cis-isomer present at equilibrium (the ciseffect) is discussed in terms of dipole-dipole interactions with a resultant increase in the C=C bond strength for the cis-isomer due to electron density shifts. The dimethoxyethylenes are correlated with previous results found in the literature for related systems (e.g. dihaloethylenes, etc.). Additional arguments are also advanced.

Acetic acid Separation as a Function of Temperature Using Commercial Pervaporation Membrane
Acetic acid was separated from a dilute mixture using a commercial polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) membrane. Intrinsic separation characteristics of the membrane were studied as a function of temperature. The degree of membrane swelling decreased marginally with increase in feed temperature. At 25oC the maximum degree of swelling was found out to be 46.3%, which reduced to 39.5%...

Sulfonated poly (ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) with a low degree of sulfonation (DS = 40%) was prepared for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC). Poly (ether ether ketone) (PEEK) was sulfonated in concentrated H2SO4 under N2 atmosphere and characterized by the hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance (H-NMR) technique. After preparation of the SPEEK polymer, the obtained polymer was dissolved i...
متن کاملEffect of grinding time on flotation recovery of copper smelting slags in Bardaskan district
Copper smelting slags are hard materials. Therefore,to recover their copper by flotation method, grinding should be carried out to obtain optimal particle size. Copper smelting slags in the Bardeskan district, with work index of 16.24 kwh/st, were grinded for 65 minutes to reach an acceptable degree of freedom for the flotation tests, with particle size of 80%, smaller than 70 μm. With this gri...
